Organization of the Last Alliance
May. 2nd, 2004 10:22 pmYes, I've had an idea. According to someone on that Lord of the Rings community, (yes, I joined it. Did you expect anything else from me?) there's a book out there that includes information on the organization of the Last Alliance. Well, until I can get ahold of it, this is my best guess as to what that organizational structure looks like.
Head Commander/Commander of the forces of Lindon-Gil-Galad
Commander, forces of Greenwood the Great-Oropher(sp?)
Head Commander of Numneorian forces/Commander of the forces of Arnor-Elendil
Commander, Eastern Gondorian forces-Isildur
Commander, Western Gondorian forces-Anarion
On another note, during the wars that took the Alliance toward Mordor, I kinda get the impression that Gil-Galad and Elendil hung back, while Oropher, Isildur, and Anarion commanded from the front line. This would account for the deaths of Oropher and Anarion, at the Dead Marshes and the seige of the Barad-Dur, respectivly.
In other news, less than a month until Return of the King (Thetrical Cut) comes out on DVD! Yay!
